Lung Disease Mystery Surrounding 9/11

While there may not be any scientific evidence linking exposure to 9/11 dust and diseases like that of pulmonary fibrosis, it hasn't stopped the press from making assumptions and jumping to conclusions that go against science.

For instance, a case involving a New York Police Officer whose son was a guest of Senator Clinton at the State of the Union just hours after his father's premature death from lung disease. The Officer quickly became a symbol of the second round of 9/11 victims.

The press said he had rushed downtown to help rescue office workers on September 11. Now information has surfaced that he was not sent to the site until the end of December and he was only there for fewer 15-20 shifts - these details are significantly important.

Although high levels of exposure to the dust are not tied to the lung disease that killed him, the claim that such exposure killed the officer becomes less and less plausible when considering how much time went by before he was assigned to the World Trade Center area. The air had become cleaner as the days, weeks and months passed.

Some might say the press and Politicians have been making expensive and rash decisions based on misguided sympathy rather than science based decisions. Politicians have vowed to spend over $1 billion dollars on people presumed to have mysterious lung disease that was caused by the World Trade Center Collapse which is inspired in part by sympathy for people such as Officer Borja.
