RadioShack Corporation, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, announced a voluntary recall of its 13.8V power supplies. The devices are wired incorrectly and therefore pose an electrocution and fire hazard to users.

The recall includes RadioShack 13.8V DC Power Supplies, catalog numbers 22-507 and 22-508 with date codes that range from 08A04 through 01A08. The catalog numbers and date codes can be located on the back of the unit.

Consumers are advised to immediately unplug the recalled devices and to take them to any Radio Shack store for a free repair. Owners who have registered their power supplies will receive notice in the mail.

For more information, consumers can contact RadioShack directly at (800) 843-7422 anytime, or visit the firm’s website at www.radioshack.com/recall.
