Bunk Beds Recalled By Gothic Cabinet Craft

Gothic Cabinet Craft Inc., is recalling Twin, Twin Extra-Large, and Twin Over Full Bunk Beds because the beds pose a fall, entrapment and strangulation hazard to children which violates mandatory safety standard for bunk beds.
The bunk beds do not have sufficient headboards, footboards, or guardrails and have gaps between parts of the upper bunk that could allow a child’s body to pass through but not a child’s head.
To date, the company has not received any reports of injury or incident related to the recalled bunk beds.
The recall includes both wooden and metal bunk beds, in dark oak, metal and solid pine styles. Others come with six drawers as part of the base.
The beds, manufactured in the United States, were sold in retail stores in New York and New Jersey from June 2000 to October 2008.
Consumers should stop using the recalled beds immediately and contact the company to schedule an appointment and free repair.
