There was a strange rash of cars going onto sidewalks in New York City this weekend. A total of four cars hurt 22 people after leaving the roadway. Three of the pedestrian accidents happened in Manhatten and the fourth happened in Brooklyn.

Saturday's accident in Brooklyn's Flatbush neighborhood, which injured two toddlers, one critically, came a day after cars veered onto sidewalks at three locations in Manhattan, hitting a total of 18 people. Three were hospitalized in serious condition.

The driver of the car in Brooklyn was 16-years-old. He tried to flee from the scene but was apprehended. He was charged with reckless endangerment. Four people were injured in that accident, including one toddler in critical condition.
