19 People Injured in New York City Bus Crash

19 people were injured today, in a car - bus accident, one person was critically injured in the crash, authorities said.

The New York City Transit bus and car crashed shortly before 6am in Queens, said a spokesman for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

At the time of the accident, fifteen people were traveling on the bus. Thirteen passengers were taken to local hospitals and two were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the accident. None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.

Many people traveling in the car were also injured. Firefighters said 19 people in total were transported to local hospitals for medical care.
